Robbers Steal Tobacco, Vapes, and Ice Creams in Two Terrace Break-ins

In a series of alarming incidents, robbers targeted a convenience store on The Terrace in Wellington, stealing tobacco, vape products, and ice creams. The store was hit twice in two days, with the first break-in occurring early Sunday morning and the second on Monday evening. The first break-in took place at around 5:15 am on Sunday when three individuals broke into the City Stop store using tools. The second incident occurred at around 7:10 pm on Monday. This time, three people entered the store armed with weapons and threatened the store attendant with a knife. Fortunately, no one was injured during the robbery. The robbers once again targeted tobacco, vape products, and ice creams, leaving the store in the same stolen Toyota Aqua. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Wainuiomata.

Police executed a search warrant at a Wainuiomata address shortly after the second robbery, recovering items stolen from the store. Despite these efforts, no arrests have been made yet, and investigations are ongoing to determine if the two incidents are linked.
